A Day of Super Much Fun

Look at what new chair cushions and a strip of material can do to liven up a dining room! I was telling Zac that I would like the dining room to look a little more warm and fallish. So...my friend Havala and I were at Kohls this morning and she bought me chair cushions as a belated birthday gift. When we got back to my place we took some material that I had sitting in a closet for 3 years(from my wedding) and we made these curtains. The whole "makeover" literally took 15 minutes and I like the outcome.
Brayden really likes the chair cushions...such a pretty color green.
And here's the close up I'm sure everyone was dying to see.
And here's Havala... the woman of the day. It's such a blessing that God gave me such a special friend. We have such a blast together, laughing over the dumbest things yet being able to have heart to hearts. We are so alike and so very different...I think that's why our friendship works so well. She is so great at just helping me to relax when she's at my home...and then she's talented in sewing...cooking...things like that. She's been helping me make a new bumper pad for Brady's room and it's coming along so pretty...I would have never even known where to start without her! I can't wait to post pictures of his room makeover...still several weeks away! I love the way that she just jumps in to help me. She'll finish feeding Brady if I have to leave the room - just small things like that but at the same time they seem so huge. So Havala...if you ever read this post I love you so much and I thank God that you are a part of my life.

How nifty!! I like the look. It's just like out of a catalog for home decorators. Good job, gals!!
And I thank God often for your and Hava's friendship. It is cool that you are such good friends -and her mom is my most kindred spirit in this life.
I understand your sentiments totally.

Hello Kia, I think that I must envy you somewhat. I would love to be moving into my own home someday. As it is, living with my inlaws is VERY trying, and it has tested Luke and I's marriage a lot. Anyway, things are going much better. Luke and I had a nifty difty fight the other night, and things are improving. I just wish we were moving to our winter home, but we aren't.

PS if you want more info on the winter home just look on my blog.
