Happy First Birthday Brayden Allen

We celebrated Brayden's birthday yesterday so I could have posted all about it....but I wanted to wait until his ACTUAL birthday so that the date on the blog would be right. I love this picture of Zac and Brady....I already have it being printed at Wal Mart.
Here's his chocolate on chocolate cake. It was so much fun making it....I kept kind of just adding more and more icing....so it may have been a little overkill but I thought it turned out pretty cute. I had forgotten how much fun it was to decorate a cake....I use to do it all the time in the mountains.

Zac is a fireman....thus, we have a fire for every occasion. So, even though it was 73 degrees outside we still had a fire because of how super fun it is to watch flames.

Birthday boy and his mama.....could he be any cuter?

The family. Oh....the white stripe across my middle is a pale green shirt.....not my belly. Just in case anyone was thinking.....

Here's the meal with Grammy and Granddaddy. Zac grilled chicken that we marinaded in a herb/olive oil mixture. Then we had twice baked potatoes, green beans, and broccoli. Have to get in those greens even on special occasions.

Brayden is discovering what a "gift" is. He at first wouldn't touch them because he isn't allowed to touch the Christmas gifts under the tree. Silly little fellow.

Here is wooden shape box from his GranJan and Grampy. Thank you so much....he loves it!

Birthday cake.....

Having fun digging in!!! I use to be a mess freak(okay, so I still am) but Brayden is really taming me a bit. I always dreamed about having a birthday party for my kid and letting them dig into their cake. It was so much fun.

And I thought this was the cutest one ever. Happy Birthday Brayden, you are the most precious gift.

That last pic is the cutest! He looks like he is thinking, "Hmm...messy isn't as fun as I thought it would be."

You are an awesome mom!
