Housework

Brayden is becomin quite the little helper around here. It usually takes me double the time to clean now because of his ACTIVE involvement! When ever I sweep I always give him the little whisk broom and he usually copycats me.
I've discovered that the best way to entertain him when I'm working in the kitchen is to set up a couple of chairs side by side and to give him a few dishes to play with(er, I put pillow on the ground next to him...so far no mishaps.:) Yesterday he absolutely drenched himself though so this can get a little messy. However, it's the best way for me to be able to wash dishes without him hanging on my leg, bouncing up and down, ect.

And our lastest news....we've switched to cloth diapers. I never actually thought I would take the plunge but after MUCH research I've decided that since I'm home most the time and I do have my own washer...it just makes sense. In the long run you save tons of money using cloth instead of disposable...even with the added electricty and water usage. Also, it's much better for the land as it takes 100 years to break down a disposable diaper...plus, supposedly babies that are in cloth diaper usually potty train faster since they are actually uncomfortable when it's wet. Oh...and one other thing is that usually they have less rashes. Anyways, so far it's working...check back with me on this in 2 months!

What a good little helper you have! He even manages to look adorable in cloth diapers.

nick will be excited -- for some reason he thinks cloth diapers are the best way to go -- don't ask me why he's thought about babies and diapers hard enough to come up with such a strong conviction, but he has, and he'll thoroughly back you on your decision :-)

Ooo, I'm so glad that you are trying cloth diapers too. I decided I want to do cloth diapers when I'm at home with Zara (I'll still use disposable when we are out). Might as well give it a shot right? What will it hurt. I'm so excited to check out that website you told me about!

I'm glad to see you are carrying on the great CorleyMom tradition of training Corley boys to be able to do those things that make their future wives so incredibly happy and proud that they have a husband who not only helps around the house but knows HOW to help around the house!
