Curb Appeal

For the last 3 days we have been working our tails off. Zac has done so much digging and repairs that I think he definitely is working towards the title "handyman." On Monday he dug up the flower bed that was on the side of the house. It was 5 feet wide and was the entire length of the house...but an awful place to have flowers because it only gets about 1 hour of sunlight a day. So, for the past 2 years it has just been one big weed patch. So, we decided to put a little bit of Texan flare on our Georgian home and the results look pretty good. He dug it all up and then laid down that black paper that doesn't let weeds through. Then he got 3 truck loads of gravel and shoveled it all out. Then I went and got some pots and mums and it looks pretty good.
Next week we are going to pressure wash the front walk since the paint is all chipping up. Whoever painted the front walk did it with some paint NOT for cement. So, we're going to repaint that as well.

Are you making these improvements so that you can sell the house of just for yourselves? If it's to sell, don't you wish you could have done it long ago and enjoyed the benefits more yourself? I know I would feel that way.
