With some help from my grandpa, I finally dove in and tackled the whole canning process. Twas very fun, and now at the end of the day I feel quite satisfied knowing that 6 hours only produced 4 pints of butter, but they all sealed correctly...therfore, success!
I think I look quite old in the picture. This is the biggest pot I had and the direction said to cover them with an inch of water. Well, mine were covered with only .5 inches and the lids still "popped" so maybe it isn't that important?
And here they are...too bad my picture is blurry. I guess the real success will be when Zac smears some on his toast tomorrow and says "Well done my super talented loving wife." :)

Sounds and looks really yummy. Anything with butter should be pretty tasty. :)
There isn't actual butter in apple butter my dear. :)
