The Gatherer

The little gatherer...looking for the best spot to find pebbles and sticks....
With fists full....she carefully walks home with her treasure...

It's hard for little legs to climb up stairs without the use of hands...

Telling mama about her treasures, speaking in a language that only *her* mama can understand.

She turns around to give a smile and a wave goodbye....

And she's off for more.

Little dirty feet...so sweet. I love the grass and dew that covers them - I guess because I know how enjoyable it must feel to a tiny toddler that has been cooped up in a crib all night...to be set free in the morning light to play and gather *treasures.* How blessed I am to have a yard for the kids to run in and experience *land.* I blessed that they can feel the smooth texture of stones and feel sand sifting through their fingertips. How blessed I am that they can lay out in the sun and watch the birds all around them...that they can taste fresh produce from a sharing neighbor's garden. How blessed I am that so many of my dreams have come true and are coming true everyday. I'm glad I *just* wanted to be a mommy. :)

baby needs a little basket for her treasure!!
sounds like you need to make another thrift shop run!
I find lots of baskets when I'm out hunting bargains!

I love baby feet, too.
Just want to hug and kiss them...enjoy....now my kids feet are all bigger than mine and don't look so sweet any more!
(I should say except Aubrey...her feet are smaller than mine)

I feel the same, although I miss out a little on the kids having a place to play outdoors, but we're looking to move.....
