The First Floor....

So I'm putting my wants aside (i just need that noted) and letting you in the front door before it is completed (I'm slightly nervous....)
So, with my eyes only half way open.....I take you through the front door. As soon as you walk in there is the living room to the left....
with a nook, perfect for some shelving. It's so nice to finally have a place for odds and ends, baskets and my sewing stuff, photo albums - my many books I've stored in Rubbermaid containers for the last three years. I like having them about me.
As you come around the nook there is our little dining room, perfect size for our family with a nice window that points out toward the back yard. I'm still needing some plants for under the window and another dining room chair and I think that room will be completely done.
This is the view of the living room from the dining room. The window with our stained glass points toward the street - oh dear...I forgot to share a picture of the front of the house! Darn. Maybe next time? I have a project in the works for the wall by the couch (or Zac's head...whichever one you choose to focus on.) I hope it turns out as cute as I'm envisioning...
And this is the picture of the front door. As you can see....if you go straight you will go through a little bitty hall way that has stairs going up towards the kids rooms, and then there is also a door taking you to the basement where are room is. I still want to hang pictures by the door and I would like to get a coat rack - those boots and all that jazz aren't suppose to be on top of that chest, gulp. I know I know...you thought I was perfect and I just ruined that whole "Susie Homemaker" vibe I give out. My apologies. More to come.....

I'm so impressed! What a super mom to already have so much of the house set up and unpacked. Seems like such a great place for your family! I'm excited for you all.

The house is lovely, and when my decorator granddaughter finishes with it, it will be ready for "House and Garden"!! GG
