Day Two

After eating a instant oatmeal breakfast in our hotel room, Zac and I decided that just wasn't a very special way to start our day. So, on our way to the fort we stopped in for a Dunkin Doughnut and a skim milk. It was funny to me that the lady at the counter commented on how "light" we were eating since we both had one doughnut. Interesting how people see actually eating a doughnut as light....they are anything but that. Okay....on with things...
Here's Zac, making his presence known at the front gate. He told me that since he was the boy he needed his picture in front of the fort. I'm not quite sure what "being the boy" had to do with it but it was cute just the same. :)

Planning his next course of action....

Me posing with the cannon...Zac directed my every move so as to show off his creative photography skills. Anyhoo, I went to the fort but didn't care to learn any of its history. I just thought it was beautiful....plus I didn't want to learn too much because it kind of freaked me out. I went into this room that was a prison in 1667! Yikes, my hand on the wall was probably resting in the exact place some man's fingernails were digging into the rock....fatigue and hunger knarling his body.

Me looking at all the boats....with very windblown hair. The water was so gorgeous, I forgot how soothing it is to hear the ocean. I guess it's been about 3 years since we last visited a beach.

Us posing in our one millioneth timer picture. Oh, I had oodles of sunblock on. Zac kept asking me every 30 minutes if it was time to slather some more one (I like the sound of "slather" better then "lather.")

Me with one of the cutest men in St. Augustine (besides my love.:)

These are so funny ( and fun! ) especially the posed ones! Looks like you guys had a great time - how did Brady do?

I too relish the word 'slather.' Zac's a good hubby to keep your skin in mind. We fair and freckled ones tend to burn rather easily. All your timed pictures turned out really nice, but I know how much of a pain it can be.
