Treasures

Yesterday Zac offered to watch the kids for me to go visit a little antique store a few minutes from our house. Well, I'm happy to report that one of the booths there was 40% off and what did I find tucked behind a bunch of other odds and ends?! This beautiful quilt...wound up costing me 9 dollars. I just love it so much, I giggled all the way home and then for the rest of the evening I draped it about me and even snuggled under it on the couch...despite it being 80 degrees outside. I've always wanted an antique quilt but they have always cost too much for me to pay and I just see this as a little "desire of the heart" that God decided to gift me with.

Isn't the pattern just so delicate and feminine?
I also found this for Trin...down to 3 dollars. It's so beautiful hanging in her window with the sunshine shining through. I just love glass.

nice new blog design! you're right, you ARE creative!
i know what you mean about antique quilts - i have one that may or may not be antique, but it's old and worn and i found it at a cottage sale for $1.
nothing like 'em.

a friend of mine took a class in smocking. She made the cutest little girl dresses with smocked fronts....You might like doing that... the dresses looked very antique and old fashioned...
If I had a little girl to sew for I would consider doing it myself!

God is so good to give us even the smallest of small desires of our heart.

I like what you've done with your updated blog and the music is super relaxing as well.
