Jumbled Up

The kids are growing and changing everyday. I understand why mother's whose kids have already left home continually remind me to "hold on to every moment....." Tristan is going to be eight months old next week...I still feel like he should just be laying quietly in his bouncy chair or in my sling, instead he wants to scoot around the house, play with the other kid's toy...pull Trini's hair, cram his little mouth full of cheerios - he is such a tremendous joy. I love my Cuddles. He has the sweetest little mouth...it mostly smiles.
Trinity is becoming more and more independent...wanting to do things "all by myself." She offers to help me clean the kitchen everyday....loves helping make the beds. She is such a clown and loves to sing and perform at a moment's notice. I would like to look for some little tumbling classes for her in the fall - I know she would LOVE to dance and wiggle and prance around with other kids. She is definitely my little social butterfly. :) The above picture is of her last week as she was 'heading out" for some daddy time. Don't you just love the little purse...she keeps an extra set of big girl pants tucked inside. :)

can you guess what this is yet? I'm still not done but it is definitely progressing....I LOVE embroidering and creating. I think I have finally come up with an idea of something I could make and sell just for fun...stay tuned....

Notice I haven't included anything about Brady yet...that's because Brady always get's his own post tee hee. There's just too much to tell. He has so many cute things he says and does...and I think I have a video on one of our computers I would like to share. He and Trin play together a lot...sometimes good sometimes bad. Zac thinks they argue a bunch but I was telling him I think it just has a lot to do with their ages and how close they are. I remember playing a lot AND arguing a lot with my younger brother (we are less then 11 months apart!) But Zac is the baby of 5 and his brothers are all much older then him...hence the reason why he doesn't remember "snatching toys" and such when he was little. We ARE working on this though. the biggest problem is that Brady imagines some scenario in his head that he wants he and trin to play, and then when she decides to "eat a cupcake" when he has planned that she will "have a muffin"....disaster.

I've been enjoying baking a lot more lately. Hmmm...somethings wrong with this top picture....

Much better. And "NO"...I didn't stage this picture. A counter top always looks better with some baked good gracing it. These are some of my most favorite cookies to make because I don't feel guilty giving them to my kids....i can make a bunch and freeze them and have them for snack time everyday. And ,yes, you heard me - everyday. I feel like my homemade cookies where I know ALL of the ingredients inside are much more healthful for the kids then anything boxed. Most granola bars these days are so high in fat and sugar that i might as well just give them a candy bar. Coming soon to a blog near you - a look inside of my brain on issues such as nutrition, taking care of the earth God has gifted us with, and waste. I know...you can barely stand the suspense. Most of my readers I understand are not super concerned with these "thoughts" but maybe you'll read it just for kicks? thanks.

And there she is....still coming along...I've already added more to the little "Forest Scene" since last night. I'm making this for one of my friends that is having a baby this summer. We are going to do a "handmade trade" since she is a potter and I've been oogling some of her coffee cups for two years! Yah for me...I think I'm coming out the victor in this one....hopefully she will like the forest and not feel like she made a bad trade. :) Sorry this post today was such a jumbled up mess of unrelated things...it's kind of a representation of my mind today....

Ha. I'm usually the first one to comment since I DO follow your blog on a daily basis (obsessed, slightly!). :)

As much as I am not organically inclined or environmentally friendly, I actually am looking forward to your posts. I'm willing to learn something new and even try it.

I had a huge laugh trying to imagine Brayden angry at Trin since she was eating a "cupcake" and not a "muffin." This already happens around our place where Jaida dictates what Ezra can and cannot touch; how loud he can yell, etc... :)

Thanks again for your blog...I'm hooked!

I L-O-V-E your little "forest scene"! Especially the little "bark" lines on the trees! I've said it before and I'll say it again, you are a treasure! And I totally agree about the cookie thing. Processed foods are the PITS!

(p.s. I had a typo in the previous one, so I removed it and fixed it. That's why it show as deleted)

Great, great, great blgo! But where's Brady's blog? I just LOVE seeing the kids!

You little Forest scene is delightful. The pillow you gave us at Christmas has an honored place in the family room. I think it needs a match, though! :-)
