Things Work Out

For those of you who read my post a couple weeks ago....I believe it's main point was stress...I have an update. First of all, the reason why my update is necessary and so completely awesome is because I KNOW that people were praying for us and we were able to see God work in so many unpredictable ways.
First off....our fill line was unclogged and cost $160.00 . Now, this is super good that it didn't need to be replaced because that would have been a couple thousand dollars, but still the 160 would have drained our very small emergency fund that we had just started. Two days after the work on the septic system I got a letter in the mail with a $200.00 check for us, out of the blue from a friend. I don't think anyone has ever given me a "no strings attached" $200 check in my life...not to be repaid. This was especially neat because I really had some herbs I was needing to order to take my last 5 weeks of pregnancy (called Gentle Birth Formula for those of you interested) and the tincture was going to cost $40.00 . So...you don't have to be a mathematician to figure out that God provided the exact cost for what we needed.
That week I posted our couch on Craigslist and our small patio set. Not that I didn't like either of these items, it's just that we simply weren't using the patio set very much because of the chairs being uncomfy and our couch was really big and we though we could sell it and make some money off of it to help with bills. They both sold in 3 days! Just from the couch alone we were able to buy our other couch and love seat (already mentioned in a previous post) and have the carpet shampooed. I REALLY wanted the carpet shampooed but we hadn't had the cash in hand to have it done. It was important to me mostly because of the allergens in the carpet fibers and that's not super great for newborns. I just wanted it clean!
We had a yard sale that weekend and usually our yard sales are flops. This time...we sold almost everything! From that money we were able to pay some bills and get Brady a dresser for his room (from another yard sale) and we still have most of that cash hidden away in a jar.
THEN, my mom and dad brought us their minivan to buy from them so that we could sell our Mazda and no longer have a car payment. Today our Mazda sold and we have already deposited the money in our account and have the check to fully pay off the Mazda and my parents minivan. I feel so incredibly blessed. Oh...not that everything is perfect...we found out today there are quite a few issues with our Toyota and we have to pay $400 to have it fixed, but even there we will be "out" the money but we were able to pay for it and not use a credit card. I just can't believe how things can feel so overwhelming and out of hand, and then I pray (like I should have done in the first place) and God starts working things out so beautifully in His perfect timing.
Oh...and some of the legal work that we needed to have written up by a licensed attorney was going to cost us quite a bit but today we were able to have it done for free. Yah. :)
